First few days of 875

Been wearing the 875 for the past 3 days. The edge of the top, where it touches the side of the leg (near the shin area) tends to "bite". I never had this problem when I wore my 9013 initially. Or could the reason is because I wore the 875 with a low-cutting socks that don't stretch higher.

Well it could be, cos today I wore a normal higher socks and the "biting" feel is gone.

Here are some pics I took while in a lift:

Red Wing mania

Happen to chance upon this website with different pictures of Red Wing been worn on the streets.

Love how the RW always work in tandem with jeans and jeans is pretty much my "uniform" as I wore them day in, day out.

Looking at these pictures is like looking at shoe porn.

Red Wing 875

Here it is, the latest addition to the family. The Red Wing 875. All time classic.

If the 877 is the iconic Red Wing boot, the 875 is a close second. Almost identical in look, it was built to address the work customer that preferred a shorter boot. The 6” style is purpose-built with premium Red Wing Oro-iginal leather, Goodyear welt construction, a white Traction Tred sole and triple stitched quality.

My favorite leather color is brown and this 875 leather simply won my heart. The Oro-iginal Leather looks like the veg-tan leather had a good tan.

Decided to apply some Obenauf's LP on it prior to first wear.

I do emphasize more detail application on the leather joint area as I see it as the most vulnerable part where rain and dirt will get stuck there.

And a family shot of my Red Wing shoes. :)

As you can see from the last picture, after application of Obenauf LP and leaving it to dry, the color remains the same as before application!

Swedish Army Belt: After 8 months

Here is the belt that made me stopped shopping for belts anymore. Cos I can't seem to find any nicer belt than this!

The Swedish Army Belt.

I had bought this last year May and had been wearing it almost everyday since.

Was looking through last year's pictures and saw the belt when it was brand new, gosh, how much it has evolved!

Just take a look:

It looks like 2 different belts! The color contrast is.. WOW

Decided to give them a treat of Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP on my off day today:

Ammo Pouch - Evolution after 1+ year

This is the pouch that I will carry everyday to work. Inside contains my pen, pencil, tape measure and a multipurpose tool. Some may find it too troublesome but it can save me a lot of troubles when you find that you have this carried with you with the tools you need in emergency situations.

Decided to oil them with Obenauf's Leather Oil after I realized I haven't do so in many months.

How it looks like immediately after oiling. Fret not. It will go back to its original color when its dried. :)

Clarks Desert Boots - Evolution after 1 year

Here are the much lighter weight Clarks DBs. Great for all day wearing. But I got a feeling I will have lesser time to wear time when I start to wear the 875 in time to come. Oh well, let's just see ;)
