New Bracelet from Etsy

Hi everyone.

If you read my previous post, you will know that one of my bracelet had broke and I had sourced another bracelet from etsy.com. I found this seller, kelugi, and am impressed with the collection of hand-made bracelets. The style is mainly leather + silverware, just the kind I like.

I am particularly interested in this

I had placed my order and gave details on my wrist measurements. Patiently waited for 2 weeks and a couple of days and finally received them in my mailbox!

Here are the pictures I just took in the crappy lighting in my room and the cranky AWB on my camera. that I finally found time to take in a natural daylight condition.

One thing I'm looking forward from this bracelet is how the clasp will be strong enough and not corrode off like my previous one (yes, it corrodes off from my sweat)

Do stay tuned to see more updates on how this bracelet will evolve to become. Cheers~

Leather Bracelet from ETSY - Update

Just 2+months ago, I bought this bracelet from ETSY and wore it almost everyday for work and play. They are very easy to wear, thanks to its magnetic clasp design. However, it broke off one fine day.

Although it will be fairly easy to fix, I decided to retire it and source for the next bracelet. I am those bracelet guys and recently without this bracelet to wear, my right wrist feels "naked". I do still have the H&M bracelets but its rather difficult to match them with my clothes as they are the double (or triple) wrapped design.

Anyway, here's the pictures of my retired bracelet from etsy. So long.

As for the next bracelet, it will also be from etsy. I had ordered it last week and really hoping to receive it by this week, from Spain to Singapore. Do stay tuned!

Leather bracelets from H&M Hong Kong

Saw this good looking bracelet when I was shopping in H&M and with the price of HKD$29.90 a piece, I can't help to grab 1 brown and 1 black. They are simple bracelets and Made in China. Can't expect much with that price eh? They are easy to wear but for the first few times I wore it, I can't seem to "wrap" it nicely around my wrist.

And suddenly, I thought of what I learnt back in scouting days.

Clove hitch.

BINGO!

I just wrap them around my wrist like how we used to tie the clove hitch and it will look nicely wrapped around the wrist without much mess.

Love it!

Leather Bracelet

I am a follower of the site Valetmag.com and weeks ago, I saw this article about bracelets for men. I regularly wear a bracelet, be it at work or at play. My previous bracelet among my EDC was the Corter For Japan bracelet. The leather quality is top-notch. But when I saw this article, I was attracted to the braided leather cord bracelet. So I went ahead and bought one from the Etsy seller, Bracelet Market.

The price was reasonable and the seller was very friendly also.

When I got the bracelet (took about a week for it to reach Singapore), the first thing that caught my attention was the magnetic buckle. It was cleverly done in such a way that it is held together by magnet AND locking mechanism. Genius method. Maybe I wasn't too updated in the world of bracelet buckle but this one is nicely done that does not add bulk and give it a more sophisticated look.

here's what it looks like when I first gotten it:

A nice gentle yellowish glow from this amazing leather bracelet. At first I thought the bracelet was completely made of the braided leather. But I think the leather is wrapping a thick nylon cord inside that gives this bracelet the form and strength. It is perfectly ok if you ask me.

Here's what it looks like, after in merely 2 weeks!

I had coated this with 2 coats of Obenauf's Leather Oil prior to wearing. Because I sweat a lot during work and I want the leather to be protected from my sweat so I suppose the leather oil will be a layer of protection on it. But just look at it! 2 weeks since wearing and it had evolved to such nice brownish glow.

Amazing.

A snapshot with the before and after for better comparison:

Love this bracelet. Do visit the Etsy seller for more of such bracelets!
