About anything looks good with a leather background

Yes, anything and everything! Some how I just feel that any object, when placed together with a fine piece of seasoned leather, the item will shine even more and the subtle sense of class and character is displayed without trying.

Take this as an example:

Frankly speaking, I wouldn’t have look at this from its thumbnail if its just the 3 pens and nothing else. It was the background piece of leather, the nice grains and color, that captures my attention.

Here is one without the leather:

Just, plain and boring isn’t it? Well, perhaps its only me that thinks this way...

Chromexcel Field Notes cover

Saw the nice looking Chromexcel leather cover on Hellbrand Leatherworks. Thats one fine looking leather cover. Too bad I don't use Field Notes (I'm a Moleskine supporter), cos if I am, I will definitely pull out my credit card without a second of hesitation.

Leather Key case (Update with keys)

As promised, here are a couple of pictures of the key case with keys attached.

If you are looking at the car key and giving me the disgusted look, I can totally understand it. I can already hear you shouting "WHY THE CARABINER!?!?!?"

Haha!

Well first reason is, given the size of the key (well its not really a key but a remote sensor cos its a keyless ignition), its got no place in any of the 6 hooks in there. So I had to attach it outside. Ok now the carabiner question. I thought it might be easier to remove the key if I have to, like giving it to the valet parking or something like that, without having to give them the whole bunch of keys.

Ok here goes the pictures:

Leather Key Case from Wild Hearts

I ordered this Key Case from Rakuten last Thursday, 26th Apr 2012. Got a shipping notice on 27th April. And guess what? Received the parcel today! That was REALLY SPEEDY for an overseas shipping.

Really impressed by the shop, the shipper and the whole chain of services. Less than a week from the time I clicked the Purchase button to having it with me now.

Ok here are the pictures of the Key case like I always do.

And of course, how can I not apply the Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP on this beautiful key case.

Application of Obenauf's LP:

Shall leave it to dry overnight and I will post some pics with my bunch of keys filled. One of the reason I chose this key case was also because it comes with a card holder which I can put my key access card to my apartment.

Stay tune for the pics with the keys!

Red Wing 875

Used a horsehair brush to give it a brush before going out to work. Splendid!

Camper

I think this is the first pair of light color leather shoes I ever owned. Well, not really actually. Cos this shoes was from my brother-in-law. He bought it and couldn't fit into it so he had to let it go. I too had problem fitting in. But mine was less serious as he said he couldn't even take a step with it. I, on the other hand, can walk fine, just that the heel bites quite a fair bit. So I thought I will  use a shoe tree in hoping it will sort of expand it a little...

And then I suddenly remembered, "Hey! Why I didn't apply the Obenauf LP on this before!?"
Well you can't really blame me for it. I really didn't think much of the leather on this shoe, so I didn't think of using the LP on it. And since I am using the shoe tree to "expand" it, I thought some LP will help to soften the leather for better, expansion.

Here are some pics before application:

 After application:
 Left: Before
Right: After

Not much difference, eh?
